ABOUT OUR GUN CLUB
Camp Sumter Gun Club is a member-only gun club that provides pistol, rifle, and shotgun venues. Camp Sumter hosts monthly and annual competitive events while being mindful of those who do not choose to shoot competitively and ensuring that there is always a range open for our members. For information on becoming a member of Camp Sumter Gun Club, please click on the Membership tab above.
While the club is a member-only range, there is limited public access during competition matches. For match information, go to our calendar.
Safety is the primary concern at Camp Sumter. The safe use of a firearm is your responsibility and is a priority during the use of the range facilities. Unsafe handling and use of a firearm can bring tragedy in many forms from injury, death, dismemberment, lawsuits, and even incarceration. Being safe is the only way to be!
Camp Sumter has several members that are certified safety officers and firearms instructors, with ratings from the National Rifle Association (NRA), International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Instructors (GALEFI), Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) and other affiliations and disciplines as well. Camp Sumter also has an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer who can teach and certify Range Safety Officers. If you have an interest in firearms safety training, contact Camp Sumter Gun Club to request more information.
The Refuse to Be A Victim® program is not a firearm or self-defense class. It is a seminar that will help you improve your personal safety strategies and will provide you with valuable information that you can apply in every area of your life. One of the most important steps toward ensuring your own safety is having a personal safety strategy in place before you need it. NRA’s Refuse to Be A Victim® program teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid criminal confrontation.
Our range facility is located at 1295 Stubbs Road about 1 mile north of Andersonville, Georgia
We hope you enjoy participating in the shooting sports at our facility!
